BIO
Founded in 2014 by Sam, settling on a winning formula in 2018 with Dagur and Steini. With all the members being strong vocalists with their own character, whilst also being able to pull of tight three-part harmonies, they can keep the listener engaged when they are rocking and rolling! Uplifting moments with epic guitar solos are underpinned by head banging bass grooves complemented with a tasteful use of cowbell!
Having toured the UK two times and played a number of shows in Iceland, Volcanova released their debut album "Radical Waves" in 2020 and the EP “Cosmic Bullshit” in 2022 via Swedish label "The Sign Records".
With number of reviews and interviews in the foreign press, both albums received fantastic criticism throughout the world, including 8/10 review in Metal Hammer UK for “Cosmic Bullshit”.
The band went on tour with The Vintage Caravan in the autumn of 2022 and played 21 shows around Europe with great receptions.

“They spent just over half an hour on stage, but in just 40 minutes, they were up there and even more so we were down, we were left as if a hurricane had passed through there and we had survived. What inordinate power!”

“The good appearance that the venue presented was also a surprise when VOLCANOVA took positions to kick off the evening, letting “Salem” serve as their letter of introduction. With a lot of attitude, sounding very powerful, compact, and without ceasing to shake their long hair, the trio didn't take long to capture the attention of everyone present”
